Papa Turf outlines how easy it is to prepare your area for proper drainage.
Preparing your garden for artificial grass is the most important part of your project. If you do not have the correct drainage in place often the under layer of the grass will develop a moss/algae layer from the rainwater, which becomes slippery after build up.
“Following industry advice, Papa Turf has outlined a simple way to prepare your garden for drainage.”
1. Dig 100-150mm .
“Depending on the size of your area and the quality of your soil. Dig between 100-150mm deep”
Once your have levelled this ground add the drainage rock.
2. After adding your Drainage Rock, cover with a layer of Decomposed Granite or Sand
Once you have covered the drainage rock with the decomposed granite or sand compact the surface, flatten as hard as you can.
3. Lay your Shockpad and cut to size.
Once your Shockpad has been laid you are ready to lay your turf!
